Happy Halloween!
I have co-workers all over the globe, and Halloween and trick-or-treating seem to be pretty unique to the United States. One thing I heard recently about Halloween was that it connects communities. It is one day when you can knock on someone's door and they will welcome you, no matter who you are. I really like that sentiment.

We just finished our Halloween celebration - we spent the evening around a bonfire in our neighbor’s driveway catching up while we handed out candy together. We are lucky to live in a community that really enjoys Halloween. Many homes put up elaborate decorations, complete with timed animatronics, and there is even a family that hands out grilled hot dogs to trick-or-treaters all night long!

But y’all, even though it is barely November, I already have Christmas on the brain! This year, I am trying something new with personalized ornaments. And, they glow in the dark!
Outside of the gift shop, I work full time in the tech industry. Most of my full-time work is digital and this year, work has had a lot of travel and a lot of AI. (if you don’t work in tech, everything you have heard about tracking adoption with dashboards is true) So, I’ve found myself working less on digital art and craving more tactile work like paint brushes, canvases and other raw materials. I even have a travel watercolor set that I pack for work trips.

So this year, I will be offering a few new ornaments and instead of using porcelain or metal, which require a manufacturing partner, they are all entirely handmade.
I am also trying personalization this year and I can’t wait! This is the first of a few new designs.
